How is renting a privately-owned condo different from staying at a hotel?
A condo will probably be far less expensive, by as much as half as a hotel in a comparable location. You'll generally have more living space in the condo, and the property will be more private--fewer crowds and less traffic in and out. You'll make your reservation and payment arrangements with the owners, and you won't have to "check-in," just go to the condo and let yourself in. You won't have daily housekeeping, though. And if there are problems, you'll have to contact the owners by phone.

How and when do we pay?
You can pay by personal check, money order, VISA, MasterCard, or Discover. A security deposit of $200 is due when you reserve your vacation (refundable within 14 days after your departure if there is no damage). Half the rental amount is due 60 days before arrival, the balance 14 days before arrival.

Are there any extra fees?
There's a 11% Florida tax. Housekeeping is included in your rental fee. You must buy your own food and paper products, which can be obtained locally.

How do we make a reservation?
Click on the "How it Works" page link above, and follow the 5 easy steps. In short, after checking our availability calendar, contact the owner, Judy Luger, at 612-743-4811 or email her at judyluger@hotmail.com You can download our rental agreement from the "How It Works" page of this website, and, and as soon as we receive your signed copy and security deposit, your vacation time will be confirmed.

How do we get a key?
You won't need a key because the building has a coded keypad, and our unit has a coded keypad. After your final payment we will email you the codes to both doors. If you are expecting mail while you are there, please let us know in advance so we can tell you where to find the mailbox key in the unit.

What about housekeeping?
The unit will be in "move-in" condition when you arrive, and will be cleaned after you leave. Housekeeping any other time can be arranged at a rate of $60, which includes laundering of the linens and towels.

Where can we do laundry?
There are coin-operated washers and dryers on the first floor of the building. If you don't have enough quarters, you can get them at a BB&T bank branch one mile north. There's an ATM across the street at the Santini Shopping Plaza.

How do we check in and check out?
Because we are renting our condo directly, just go to the unit, let yourself in with the keypad code we'll send to you, and make yourself at home. You'll need to register your car at a stand outside the office at Building B, and display the parking permit on the top of your dashboard. There are security coded cards in the condo for your admission to the pool and tennis courts.

When you depart at the end of your stay, be sure to leave the pool security cards on the kitchen table. After our housekeeper reports to us that there is no damage to the property, we will return your security deposit.

Have hurricanes damaged your property?
Thankfully, our property has never been damaged by a hurricane. The potential for hurricanes in Florida has been from late summer through the end of October.

How can someone contact us at the condo?
The phone number in unit 1005C is (239) 463-7774.
The addresses for our condo is 7360 Estero Boulevard, Unit #1005C, Fort Myers Beach, Florida 33931. If you plan to receive mail, there is a key to the mailbox in the condo.

What if we have problems with the unit?
Call the owners, Jim or Judy Luger, in the following order:
Judy's cell phone: 612-743-4811; Jim's cell phone: 612-327-1155

What's included in the condo?
It's completely furnished and equipped except for food and paper products, which can be purchase locally. (We recommend Publix grocery store, which is about a mile north of our condo.)
